KAJWANG’ and his team wanted tenders in my Ministry - MATIANG’I drops a bomb on why Senators indicted him over Ruaraka land

Friday August 10, 2018 - Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i, has refused to go down quietly over Ruaraka land saga.

This is after the Moses Kajwang’-led Senate committee investigating the matter indicted him saying he should be held responsible and further investigated, and if found culpable, prosecuted for occasioning the loss of Sh1.5 billion, in the Ruaraka land scandal.

However, the furious Matiang’i has accused the Senators of taking revenge on him for denying them tenders in his Ministry.

According to the CS, the ‘noisemakers’ were fighting for security tenders’ in his Ministry but he barred them that is why they were getting back at him.

However, he vowed to take the Senators head-on saying he will continue doing the right thing even if it costs him his job as the CS.

“I have an inflexible belief in doing the right thing at all times, no matter what.”

“We will focus on what we have to do, and ignore the noisemakers,” Matiang’i said.
