JOHO’s planned meeting for this Friday divides Coast leaders as others say they will not attend! He wants to lure us to ODM

Thursday August 9, 2018 - Members of the County Assemblies in the Coast are
divided over an invitation to meet Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho tomorrow.
While
most MCAs have confirmed that they will be meeting Joho, others were still
undecided by yesterday and are likely not to attend the meeting with the
Governor tomorrow.
“I
do not think I will attend the meeting because there is no invitation.”
“We
have just been told verbally to meet the Governor,” said Marunga MCA, Paul
Kang’ethe.
Others
have demanded to know the real agenda of the meeting before making the trip to
Mombasa County to meet Joho.
“There
is need to get proper information and an agenda of the proposed meeting,” said
Bura MCA, Patel Mngiambwa.
Joho
invited all the MCAs at the Coast to a meet as he prepares to vie for
Presidency in 2022.
Surprisingly, the invitation
came barely 2 days after his Kilifi counterpart, Amason Kingi, met over 20 MPs
on Saturday in a bid to solidify his support base ahead of 2022.
Joho
and Kingi are battling for the control of Coastal politics and are both eying
the Presidency in 2022.
