Is this finally happening? MIKE SONKO orders for the demolition of RUTO’s Weston Hotel & Easton Apartments! See the letter

Thursday August 16, 2018 – There is an official letter doing rounds online indicating that Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, has ordered for the demolition of Weston Hotel in Nairobi because it is built on public land.
The hotel situated along Langata Road and is owned by Deputy President William Ruto.
On Monday this week, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority declared publicly for the first time that it owns the plot occupied by Ruto’s Weston Hotel.

CAA Executive Director, Gilbert Kibe, said yesterday that the plot on Lang’ata Road in Nairobi is among hundreds of parcels of land that it wants to reclaim.

“All I can tell you is that we are trying our best to repossess our land.”

“We are in court with several cases and the rest is with National Land Commission.”

“Yes, Weston Hotel is part of the land but the case is with NLC,” Kibe said.

Mike Sonko has supposedly given the demolition team a go ahead to demolish Ruto’s Weston Hotel and Easton Apartments situated along Jogoo Road.

Easton Apartments are built on a land that belongs to Kenya Railways Corporation.

Here is Sonko’s supposed authorization letter.
