Thursday, August 09, 2018 - Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has vowed to demolish properties built on public land in the ongoing crackdown spearheaded by National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and the County.

So far, several properties have been brought down including a popular mall along Lang’ata Road.

Taking to his Facebook account, Sonko revealed that nobody will be spared in the ongoing crackdown, even if it means he becomes a one term Governor.

He also revealed that any County/ NEMA official who conspired with grabbers to approve building plans will be prosecuted.

He wrote:

“I better be a one term Governor with a good legacy than entertain grabbing of public land/utilities. Please remove all your valuables from the under mentioned public utilities with immediate effect.
