Here is what BABU OWINO said about Taj Mall’s impending demolition! Has he been bribed by these Asians who grabbed land?

Saturday August 18, 2019 - Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino, has said the ongoing demolitions of building across Nairobi are rendering many Kenyan jobless.

Over the last one month, properties worth billion of shillings have been destroyed and this according to Owino will hugely have an impact on the economy.

Addressing journalists outside Parliament Buildings, Owino said that while the exercise is welcomed, the Government should have put in place alternative measures for innocent people who are losing their jobs.

The ODM MP said that he has received many calls from concerned people who work at Taj Mall that is set to be demolished.

“The Government should have put in place proper measures to cushion innocent people who are employed by owners of these buildings,” Babu Owino said.

He said one of the effects of the demolitions in Nairobi will be increase in crime because many Nairobians will now be jobless.
