Here is the official date when the controversial Taj Mall will be brought down - UHURU is not joking with land grabbers

August 16, 2018- The
Government has today announced the date that it will bring down Tajj Mall that
is reportedly built on a public land situated along Outer Ring Road.
In a statement by the Multi-Sectoral Committee on Unsafe Structures, the
owner was instructed to bring down the structure in 14 days
failure to which it will be flattened at his own cost.
Tenants and occupants have also been told to vacate the building before
August 30th
“Notice is hereby given to the owner/developers of the
illegal development namely AIRGATE MALL formerly Taj Mall s which has
encroached on the road reserve and wayleave hindering the continuance of
construction of the Outering Road,” part of the statement reads.
"The owners are
asked to remove this illegal development before 30th August 2018.”
“Upon this expiry of his notice, the illegal development will be demolished or removed from the road
reserve and wayleave at the owners' risk and cost," the statement
added.
However, the owner of the building has moved to court to stop the
demolition.
