Here is the name of the sugar baron who gave FATUMA GEDI millions to bribe MPs with sh.10,000 each to reject the sugar report

Tuesday August 14, 2018 - Fresh details have emerged over the bribery allegations facing Kenya’s Parliament where over 150 MPs were bribed with Sh 10,000 each to drop a report on contraband sugar.
According to Kieni MP, Kanini Kega, the over 150 MPs were bribed by Leader of Majority in Parliament, Aden Duale, and his minority counterpart, John Mbadi.

Those who distributed the money included Endebes MP, Robert Pukose, and Wajir Woman Representative, Fatuma Gedi.

In the sugar report, the Kanini Kega led committee had recommended for prosecutions of  CSs, Henry Rotich, Aden Mohamed, and former Agriculture CS, Willy Bett, for allowing mass importation of sugar in 2017.

The report also recommended for the arrest of wholesalers who were distributing the contraband sugar.

Speaking at Inooro FM on Tuesday, Kega said the money that bribed MPs came from Diamond Wholesalers in Eastleigh in Nairobi.

Diamond Wholesalers made news last month after CID officers nabbed a large haul of sugar that was contaminated with mercury, copper and had some lead elements.

Since Duale and Gedi know the real owners of Daraja wholesalers, they approached them and came up with a plan to bribe the poor MPs.

However, the greedy MPs have dismissed these claims and said the wads of cash seen on Parliament last Thursday were contributions towards Emurua Dikirr MP, Johana Ng’eno’s wedding.

Ngeno’s wedding will take place on Saturday.
