Here is how I told ODM lawmakers to treat Deputy President WILLIAM RUTO whenever he visits their strongholds - RAILA

Wednesday August 1, 2018 - National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, has revealed what he told Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MPs on how to treat Deputy President William Ruto after his famous handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta on March 9th.

In an exclusive interview with Citizen TV’s Hussein Mohamed on Tuesday evening, Raila who is also the ODM party leader said he told ODM lawmakers to work with Mr. Ruto as the Deputy President of Kenya for the benefit of Kenyans.

“I have told members that Ruto is the Deputy President and if he wants to come to your constituency for a function, by all means, welcome him. And do the functions with him because he is part of the Government,” said Raila.

However, Raila Odinga said he warned MPs against campaigning for 2022 presidential elections saying this was among the 9 agendas they agreed with President Uhuru Kenyatta during their famous truce at Harambee House.
A number of ODM MPs led by Malindi MP, Aisha Jumwa, and Msabweni MP, Suleiman Dori, have been going around with the DP campaigning for his 2022 presidential bid and Raila said this is against ODM’s rules and regulations.

Raila made the remarks even as ODM chairman, John Mbadi, threatened to punish the two ODM lawmakers for associating themselves with Ruto.
