Harambee Stars striker MICHAEL OLUNGA smiling to the bank after signing Sh15m a month deal (PHOTOs)

Friday, August 10, 2018 - Kenyan International, Michael Olunga, has signed a lucrative deal with Japanese top tier side, Kashiwa Reysol, that will see him pocket a mouthwatering Sh15m a month.
Olunga, who spent last season on loan at La Liga’s Girona from Chinese side, Guizou Zhicheng, becomes the first Kenyan to play in the Japanese J-League.

Kashiwa Reysol paid Sh3oo million to secure the services of the former Gor Mahia hit-man from Guizou Zhicheng, who splashed Sh400 million to sign Olunga from Swedish outfit, Djurgarden IF in January 2017.

However, Olunga will earn Sh5 million more per month compared to his previous salary in China in his three years stay with the Japanese outfit.

This makes him the second highest paid Kenyan footballer after Victor Wanyama, who is thought to earn a staggering Sh22 million a month at Premier League side, Tottenham hotspur.

Confirming his move, Olunga wrote on Instagram.
