ANNE WAIGURU’s big win as MARTHA KARUA loses another appeal in her bid to overturn her election as Governor! LOOK

Tuesday August 14, 2018 - NARC Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua yet again suffered a career threatening setback in her appeal against Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

This is after the Court of Appeal refused her application to adduce new evidence in the appeal against Waiguru.

In rejecting her application, the Appeals Court sitting in Nairobi decided that it would be prejudicial to the main appeal if they allowed Karua’s application to introduce new evidence against the election of Anne Waiguru as Kirinyaga Governor.

Karua had made the application alleging that the evidence was contained in a flash disk which she alleged had been wrongly disallowed to show by the lower court.

The main appeal will now be heard on October 1st by judges Roselyn Nambuye, Hannah Okwengu and Steve Kairu.

She is challenging Waiguru’s win claiming that the Kirinyaga Governor lost to her in the 2017 General Elections but used her connections to rig her.
