Tuesday August 28, 2018 - Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru appealed to all other Governors yesterday to fight corruption as they rollout development projects.

Speaking yesterday when she led her colleagues in touring development projects in Makueni County initiated through public participation by Governor Kivutha Kibwana, Waiguru, who is also the Council of Governors Vice Chairperson, said the war against corruption must succeed.

"We must fight corruption and ensure all the resources allocated for certain projects in the Counties are used for the work they are made for," said Waiguru.

Waiguru’s remarks come only days after IPSOS Synovate ranked her the second most corrupt individual in Kenya  after Deputy President William Ruto, something that she has since dismissed.

“My political detractors are working in cohort with Synovate to malign my name under the guise of a survey which is not only imaginary but cooked up to suit the interests of those behind it,” said Waiguru.
