UHURU/ RUTO are liars - See how they have rob Kenyans through KPLC, this is not what they promised during campaigns

Tuesday July 31, 2018 - The Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, yesterday announced that it had scrapped the fixed monthly power charges in a move to lower the cost of electricity for Kenyans.

But sadly that was not the whole truth about the revised power tariffs because a closer scrutiny of the newly unveiled power charges revealed that most Kenyans would in fact be forced to pay more for electricity than they have previously.

According to the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Kenyans consuming between zero and 10 kilowatts (KWh) of electricity per month will start paying sh12 per unit, an increase from sh2.50, effective August 1, 2018.

On the other hand, consumers of between 11 and 50 KWh/month would part with sh15.80, a significant increase from sh2.50 they previously paid.

Those consuming between 51 and 1500 KWh/month would cost you sh15.80 per unit, which is higher compared to sh12.75 that Kenyans used to pay before the regulator came up with the new power tariffs.
