RUTO now endorses KALONZO’s move to join Jubilee - Says the Opposition that as led by RAILA is now officially dead

Monday July 30, 2018 - Deputy President William Ruto has welcomed the decision by the Kalonzo Musyoka led Wiper Democratic Movement to join the Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta and work together in the achievement of the Government’s Big Four agenda.

Speaking on Sunday at a church service in Machakos County, Ruto lauded Kalonzo Musyoka for rallying his party members in joining Government and supporting the Jubilee Government’s agenda.

He added that the move was selfless and an end to Opposition in Kenya.

“The decision by Wiper and their leaders led by Kalonzo Musyoka to join Jubilee is a very important decision.”

“As the Government and Jubilee Party, we welcome the partnership of all parties, most recently the Wiper party.”

“We welcome them so that we can work together as leaders and focus our attention, energy and effort in ensuring we transform our country,” said Ruto.

“Matters of roads, water, education, jobs, universal healthcare… Those are the issues that should now occupy us as leaders as we work together to ensure that our country is better than it is today,” he added.

On Saturday, Kalonzo Musyoka joined the Jubilee Government saying President Uhuru Kenyatta had shown commitment in fighting corruption, which he supports.

“After consultations with our greater membership and party structures, we commit to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta in his fight against corruption as well as his broad agenda of transforming this country under the Big Four agenda,” said Kalonzo Musyoka.
