My son wanted to steal KCSE exams in 2015 – Education CS AMINA MOHAMED shocks MPs! He almost got the leakage

Tuesday July 31, 2018 - Education Cabinet Secretary, Amina Mohamed, shocked the National Assembly’s Education Committee after she revealed that her son had asked her for money to buy leaked KCSE examination papers.

Amina, who was appearing before the committee to  explain the increase in cases of school unrest specially in second term, said her son who sat for his national exams back in 2015 blamed her for failing to attain an A plain.

She told the shocked lawmakers that a teacher had asked the students to get the money from their guardians or parents.

“My son was in Form Four three years ago.”

“He came asking for money, saying a teacher in his school had asked for the cash.”

“According to the teacher, the money was to be used in buying the students leaked KCSE papers.”
“I told my son that I did not have the money, and that I was going to work for it.”

“He insisted the money was needed urgently.”

“I stood my ground, nonetheless,” Amina said.

She explained that students are often uneasy as the final exams approach and leakages are unavailable.
