MARAGA reveals the filth and dirt in his toilets, he can’t even afford a tissue paper at the Supreme Court - This is so embarrassing!

Monday July 30, 2018 - Chief Justice David Maraga has given a glimpse into the deplorable condition in the Judiciary in light of the budget cut by the Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto.

Speaking yesterday during an interview, Maraga said the reduction of the Judiciary budget will make conditions worse.

He noted that the Judiciary has reached the point of having no washrooms for its guests as the ones available are filthy and some have no even toilet paper.

“In my office there sometimes when you get visitors you don’t even have a respectable washroom to take them to.”

“It is that embarrassing,” Maraga said.

He offered to give MPs a free tour of his office and toilet to see for themselves and may be they will be convinced to increase the budget for the Judiciary.

“Parliament should not only renew that fund, it should borrow for us a little more so that we are able to do a bit of more infrastructure for the Judiciary and they are saying you can’t borrow yet Parliament has borrowed for its construction; look at the renovations done to the Senate and the MP’s office.”

“I want to invite the MPs let them come to the Supreme Court see where the Judges are seated, a Judge walks 100 meters to get to the washroom,” he said.
