KAMKET warns RUTO and his friends to stop inciting Kalenjin communities-You won’t like the outcome

Friday July 13, 2018-Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket has warned of dire consequences should communities in the Rift Valley region fail to embrace peace and coexist as brothers and sisters.

This follows increased banditry in the region; an increase that Kamket, who is also Baringo Senator Gideon Moi’s close friend, attribute to politics, with the legislator accusing some politicians in Rift Valley if inciting their communities to fight.

Bandit attacks have increased despite efforts by the Government to bring peace to the area since 2017, something leaders such as Kamket are growing increasingly tired of.

According to Kamket, Incidences of inter-community attacks in the region has seen a number of activities in the county affected including education, with students reportedly fearing for their lives.

Kamket warned that the region risked being thrown into an anarchy setting should banditry and cattle rustling cases persist.

"It is not fair that we always have to hold meetings of peace all over Tiaty talking to our people.”

“Crime rate in Tiaty has already gone down but there are some elements who are still threatening the peace," Kamket said.
