JUBILEE PARTY is more united than before – DUALE tells loudmouthed MURKOMEN

Friday July 13, 2018-Leader of Majority in Parliament, Aden Duale, has dismissed claims by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, that Jubilee Party is a divided house.

Last week, Murkomen who was appearing on Citizen TV, claimed Jubilee Party is divided over Deputy President William Ruto‘s Presidential bid in 2022.

The Senate Majority leader claimed that the ruling party is divided because some powerful individuals sitting at Harambee House and State House are planning to sabotage Ruto‘s bid  in 2022.

“We have a concern about the existence of a small wing of individuals serving within government at the Office of the President, government ministries who are spending most of their time to plant discord in the Jubilee Party," Murkomen told Citizen's presenter , Hussein Mohamed.

But in a rejoinder on Thursday, Duale rubbished Murkomen’s claim and said the party was now 'stronger compared to election time'.

"The narrative that there are camps in Jubilee is farfetched. Jubilee is not built on sand soil but on a strong foundation," Duale said told a local TV.

He also said Jubilee Party is owned by Kenyans and cannot be divided by small group of politicians.

“We have set the stage for others to follow. Jubilee is not a party owned by a few people. We are a party for the people," he said.
