Sunday July 29, 2018 - Deputy President William Ruto has assured his supporters that all was well between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking in Muranga yesterday, Ruto dismissed claims of bitter relations with State House, insisting that he has the President’s blessings even in doing his ‘kutanga tanga’ things.
This is after media was awash with reports insinuating the Uhuru-Ruto’s nine-year-old marriage was on the rocks judging by the latest upheavals pitting President Uhuru Kenyatta's camp and that of his DP.
But Ruto denied the existence of any cracks within the ruling party and clarified that as the second in command, it always behoves him to take instructions from Uhuru as his right hand man.
"When you see us here, we are one team as Jubilee and let me tell you, we plan all these Government projects.”
“You know I am Uhuru's right hand man.”
“Uhuru permits me to do everything I do since we are all under him as our leader," Ruto said.
