Blow to RUTO as UHURU meets ex-President MOI and his son GIDEON without him - He was just in the neighbourhood

Saturday July 29, 2018 - President Uhuru Kenyatta once again made an unexpected political move without the knowledge of his Deputy, William Ruto.

This is after he visited retired President Daniel Moi at his Kabarak home on Saturday without Ruto.

Moi's Press Secretary, Alex Kiprotich, confirmed the visit saying Uhuru paid a courtesy call to the second President of Kenya.

"President Uhuru Kenyatta today paid a courtesy call to Mzee Daniel arap Moi at his Kabarak home where he wished him well," Kiprotich said.

Although details of the meeting remain scanty, sources have confirmed that Moi’s beloved son, Gideon, was in attendance.

Uhuru and Gideon, who is the Baringo Senator and 2022 Presidential contender, had an exclusive discussion on the 2022 succession politics before Uhuru left.

Moi and Uhuru’s chat centred on the state of the nation and the fight against corruption that Uhuru has initiated.

“His Excellency Mzee Moi lauded Uhuru's efforts towards knitting the country together.”

“He thanked him for directing Kenya towards the path of unity," said Moi’s spokesman.

Surprisingly, Ruto was just in the neighbourhood attending a burial in which Uhuru joined later.
