After stealing SH 5 BILLION from AFYA HOUSE SCANDAL- MURAGURI in another SH 7.1 billion scandal at ARDHI HOUSE

Friday July 13, 2018-The Ministry of Lands is once again on the spotlight over unexplained expenditure of Sh7.1 billion.

In a report released by Auditor general, Edward Ouko on Thursday the Ministry of lands failed to provide documents supporting the expenditures incurred in the resettlement programme for internally displaced persons and Mau forest evictees.

The report questions why Lands Principal Secretary, Nicholas Muraguri, failed to provide documents supporting the settlement if his ministry is clean.

Muraguri was transferred to lands docket from Health docket after Sh 5.2 billion disappeared in Afya House during his tenure.

In the “Mafya House” scandal, Muraguri was involved in the diversion of funds, double payment for goods, and manipulation of the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMIS).

The AG's report also come at a time the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission(EACC) has unearthed damning irregularities in land management that are exposing the Ministry of Lands to cartels and fraudsters.
