Victory for UHURU as court allows him to send home all Procurement/ Accounting Officer in his Government over corruption

The ruling now means the Government's directive through a circular of Monday, June 4, ordering all head Accountants and Procurement Officers in public offices to go for a compulsory 30 days leave to pave way for fresh vetting now still stands.

The ruling has dealt activist Okiya Omtatah a severe blow.

Omtatah had opposed the move on grounds that it was not constitutional.

The officers will now be required to submit a list of all companies they own together with their bank statements and that of their family members for scrutiny.
