Thursday April 12, 2018 - With the escalation of boardroom wars between IEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati, and CEO Ezra Chiloba after the former allegedly suspended the latter to allow room for an audit, it has now emerged that the sh3.8 billion contract for the supply of election technology awarded to French Firm, Safran, is at the center of Chiloba’s suspension.


On Friday, Chebukati questioned the system, known as the Kenya Integrated Election Management System (KIEMS) and its procurement.
