Read government’s statement on humiliation of ORENGO and JIMMI WANJIGI at JKIA- UHURU is not joking!

Tuesday, February 20, 2018 - The Government has defended its move to bar Siaya Senator James Orengo and businessman Jimi Wanjigi from travelling out of the country.

The two are among 13 NASA leaders whose passports were suspended by the Government over their role in the controversial swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the People’s President.

On Monday, High Judge, John Mativo temporarily lifted the Government's decision to suspend the passports.

They were scheduled to travel to Zimbabwe to join Mr. Odinga in the burial of Zimbabwe’s departed opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai but were blocked.

A statement from Immigration Director Maj-Gen (Rtd) Gordon Kihalangwa on Tuesday morning states that the government had not been served with the court order lifting the suspension of their passport.
