UHURU’s Govt attacks RAILA and NASA for telling supporters to boycott NTV/Daily Nation

Monday August 14, 2017-The Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, has criticized the National Super Alliance (NASA) for telling its supporter to boycott watching NTV and reading Daily Nation Newspaper.

Speaking in Kibera, NASA, through Siaya Senator James Orengo, criticized NMG's NTV and Daily Nation for allegedly being biased in their reporting. He called on NASA supporters to avoid reading Daily Nation Newspaper and stop watching NTV.

According to Orengo, the media house has been favouring the Jubilee side especially after they lost in the August 8 election to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

However, in a quick rejoinder, ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru criticized NASA for threatening the media and its freedom, saying the Opposition should leave the media to conduct its business freely without intimidation.

“To single out particular newspapers and TV stations for attack simply because of their opinions is not only unconstitutional, it is an assault on the very foundation upon which Kenya's democracy is founded," Mucheru said.

He vowed ensure NMG staff are free to conduct their business without any fear of intimidation.

  1. In business you don't take sides ...you must be neutral otherwise shauri yako. Hamtalishwa na political party. I have been one of their fans but I suspected tnis before Orengo uttered anything........

  2. And orengo dares Kenyan citizens to boycott the very station that was airing him.

  3. RAO's sidekick James Orengo is a liability to NASA. Whom has he not insulted in last couple of days: IEBC, the law courts, Election Observers (each one by name), international media and now one of Baba's friendly stations. No wonder NASA was headed nowhere.

  4. That is how wise these politicians are, mean NASA.
