IEBC makes disturbing announcement to all candidates who vied in the August 8th General Elections

“You are required to removal all banners, billboards, placards and posters erected during the election period within 7 days of this notice,”


“failure to which the commission shall impose sanctions stipulated under the Second Schedule (Electoral Code of Conduct) of the Elections Act 2011,” the notice reads in part.

NEMA had also threatened to deal ruthlessly with candidates who have not cleared their campaign posters from public spaces.
