Trouble for RAILA-See how much ODM is demanding before he’s given Presidential ticket

Wednesday November 2, 2016 - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s ODM has released new guidelines on the amount of money that every candidate must pay before being allowed to vie using the party’s ticket in 2017.

According to new guidelines released by the National Elections Board on Monday, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who eying the Presidency on an ODM ticket, will have to part with a whopping sh 1 million for him to get the ticket.

Those eyeing gubernatorial posts will have to pay sh500,000 while those seeking Senatorial and Parliamentary seats will pay Sh 250,000 for the party’s ticket.

On the other hand, those seeking Ward seats will have to part with sh25,000. Those representing special interest groups, including women, youth and people with disability will pay sh15,000 for the party's ticket.

All potential candidates have until November 30th to submit their applications for consideration.
