ODUNGA does the unthinkable as he orders BOINNET to arrest NKAISERY’s Secretary

Saturday, 29 October 2016 - Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet, has been ordered to arrest Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho and produce him in court within a month.

High Court Judge George Odunga directed Boinnet on Thursday to personally execute an arrest order against Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho and produce him in court within a month.

He ordered for Kibicho to be produced before the court on 28th of November to explain why he should not be prosecuted after he declined to obey a 2015 court order.

Justice Odunga noted that the Officer Commanding Central Police Station had been tasked to apprehend Kibicho but failed and therefore, the IG ought to do so.

Kibicho had in 2015 been directed to pay Sh 2.6 million to a Nyayo House torture victim who had sued the Government but declined to execute the orders.
