KALONZO & WETANGULA show RAILA the middle finger! We will not attend a CORD retreat.

Saturday, October 1, 2016 - Wiper Democratic Movement party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, and his Ford Kenya counterpart, Moses Wetangula, have said that they will not attend a CORD retreat organized by CORD leader, Raila Odinga.

Raila had invited Kalonzo and Wetangula for a CORD National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Nairobi on Friday where they were to deliberate on who will fly the CORD presidential flag bearer in 2017.

The meeting was also expected to address the issue of joint nomination.

Speaking on behalf of Kalonzo, Wiper Secretary General, Omar  Hassan, said Kalonzo refused to attend the retreat since he is busy popularising his presidential bid at the Coast region.

“Wiper is readying itself to be an alternative (governing party). The NEC meeting would have interfered with our plans which we had put in place and we have requested that it is postponed,” Omar, who is also the Mombasa Senator, said.

On his part, Wetangula through Ford Kenya Deputy Party leader, Boni Khalwale, said he will not attend the meeting since he was not aware of the agenda of the meeting.

“It’s nothing sinister. It is because when our party leader agreed with other principals about the meeting he was not aware that we had other plans,” Khalwale, who is also the Kakamega Senator, said.
