Friday October 26, 2018-CNN Business Anchor, Richard Quest, on Thursday cancelled the live interview with President Uhuru Kenyatta over the bomb scare in the US.
Quest, through a tweet, stated that the bomb scare witnessed in the US on Wednesday had caused him to reschedule the night interview to a later date.
According to him, the interview with President Uhuru Kenyatta was less important compared to the imminent threat to US President Donald Trump and others.
“The serious events in the USA mean I won’t be live from Nairobi tonight.”
“I know you will understand and will get the latest from my colleagues in the US.”
“We are re-scheduling our special Kenya coverage. Asante Sana!” Quest tweeted.
It was reported that a suspected bomb package was sent to the White House, the families of former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama and the CNN building in New York.
According to reports, the bombs had been sent in form of mail packages from the state of Florida and would have been fatal if they had not been intercepted at that time.
