This dormitory of an elite private school in Kenya make facilities in public schools look like toilets (PHOTOs)

Friday, September 08, 2017 - The sorry state of boarding facilities in public schools has been on the spotlight following the Moi Girls Nairobi fire tragedy where nine students died.

Most public schools’ dormitories are overcrowded with some extreme cases students forced to share a bed.


However, the story is different in most private schools where parents pay top dollar to make sure their kids have a comfy sleeping environment.

A case in point is the Molo based St Andrew’s, Turi, where parents fork out a staggering Sh700, 000 per term.
