It’s over for RAILA as UHURU/RUTO return with adverts after ruling-BABA hates them with passion

Friday September 29, 2017-The ruling Jubilee Government may soon start re-advertising the achievements by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, ahead of the repeat Presidential election.

This is after Jubilee party returned to Parliament a bill scrapping a provision that bars the Government from advertising its achievements during election campaigns.

The bill was reintroduced to Parliament by National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale yesterday.

The bill proposes deletion of a section of the Election Offences Act that bars the Government of the day from advertising its achievements in the media during campaigns.

During the petition against the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta, NASA Leader Raila Odinga accused the Presidency of breaking the law by advertising the Government’s achievements through President’s Delivery Unit during campaigns.

The court, however, ruled that the President did not commit any offence.
