Blow to UHURU’s Jubilee as a bid to question Supreme Court registrar for misleading MARAGA fails

Wednesday September 27, 2017 - An attempt to question the Registrar of the Supreme Court for misleading the judges by submitting wrong documents from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to court in the petition that saw President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory overturned, has hit a snag.


This is after the Judiciary turned away more than 10 investigators who had gone to the Supreme Court to have the registrar, Esther Nyaiyaki, record a statement with regard to the matter.

  1. Obviously, the investigative agencies should seek a court order first in order to access the documents they seek. This they should be adviced to do as soon as they can. It's prudent test of the Judiciary's own self checking system. It would smell a rat if the High Court is to deny the application much as we would expect the Supreme Court to object.
