UHURU breaks silence on the wanton killing of LUOS by police and ongoing NASA protests and says this

Monday August 14, 2017-President Uhuru Kenyatta has broken silence on the ongoing violent protests by NASA supporters and the subsequent killings following his declaration as the winner of this year’s Presidential contest.

In a statement, Uhuru, through State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu, condemned the violent protests being witnessed around the country, warning that the police would deal ruthlessly with any acts of lawlessness.

"The violent protests are unlawful, so let me be perfectly clear here: the Police will not tolerate breaches of the peace; instead, they will protect the lives and property of Kenyans; and they will restore law and order," the statement read in part.

He warned the young people not to be used by Raila Odinga to cause chaos and violence and instead should refocus their energies to better their lives.

“There are peaceful and Constitutional means by which to address any grievances. The point is particularly pertinent for our young people: as the President often said on the campaign trail, those who incite violence and division will leave you to suffer the consequences. Don’t let yourself be a pawn in someone else’s game; let the Constitution decide any disputes that remain," the statement added.
