This is where IEBC suspended tallying of results after RAILA ODINGA’S ODM rigged the election

Thursday August 10, 2017-The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) was on Wednesday forced to suspend the tallying of results in Kilifi County.

This followed the rigging claims by a section of the aspirants who accused former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s ODM of rigging them out.

Addressing the media, Kilifi County Returning Officers Nelly Ilongo said the exercise had to be stopped for transparency reasons.

“Please announce to the media that you have stopped this exercise because it is a sham,” one of the aspirants said.

Jubilee, KADU Asili and Wiper candidates reportedly stormed the tallying center and demanded that the exercise be stopped claiming that ODM had rigged the elections in Kaloleni.

Security was beefed up at the tallying center after the suspention of the exercise with the police securing the Returning Officer and sending away part agents.
