Accept poll results and move on even if UHURU rigged-RAILA ODINGA’S friend now tells him

Saturday August 12, 2017-Flamboyant city lawyer and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga friend Donald Kipkoris had advised him to concede defeat and move on.

In a letter, Kipkorir hailed Raila as one of the greatest Kenyan patriots and heroes who have fought tirelessly for the country and as such should be an inspiration to others by accepting defeat even if the election was flawed.

Baba, no matter the outcome of the presidential elections, your place in the History of our country is cast in stone. No other leader, bar President Daniel Arap Moi has mentored leaders across the country. From Mombasa to Turkana to Garissa to Busia to Kajiado, and even in Meru, you picked nondescripts and gave them national profile,” Kipkorir letter read in part.

”Many conveniently forget that without you, Kenya wouldn’t have been a multi party democracy. Moi, was there before Yoweri Museveni and Robert Mugabe. Hadn’t you made possible for Kenya to be multi-party, Moi will still be President now. Your father also made sure that Jomo Kenyatta became our first Prime Minister then President,” he said.

”You have been abused, ridiculed and delegitimized. You have been caricatured. Even fake websites were set up to create false stories about you. You have been made the bogeyman in every General Election,” he continued.

  1. Donald and others, I support and agree with your call and plea to RAO. I in particular came from the US for summer break and participate in the elevtions as citizen of this great small country that continues to exploit its potential though gradually. We all agree that RAO has contributed substantially to the political freedoms we now enjoy but we must also recognize there are other galant sons and daughters of Kenya that have suffered more and even permanently physical and bodily damage and injuries to their lives. To mention but a few, the Hon. Kenneth Matiba, Hon. Charles Rubia, Hon. Koigi wa Wamwere, Prof. Edward Oyugi, Hon. Gitobu Imanyara, Prof. Ngugi wa Thiong'o, the late Martin Shikuku, the late John Marie Seroney, the late Prof. Wangari Mathai etc. We often try to alter the true history in trying to endeer ourselves to the powers that might be. I hold all these heroes and herroines in great esteem. I expect all Kenyans to be responsible and take full accountability of their actions.

  2. I actually feel sorry for him. He should retire now. His supporters ride on his name even when they know he can't win. It is sad they lie to him and misuse him. Praying for him. It is not easy to lose 3 consecutive elections. He will be fine in retirement.

  3. Move on means Going to Bondo and is unacceptable
