Shots fired as tTraffic cops ‘rescue’ their colleague arrested by EACC for taking bribes (VIDEO)

A shocking incident happened at Juja along the Thika Super Highway on Thursday where police officers from Thika Police Station engaged the anti-corruption detectives in a physical fight and even called their colleagues to ‘rescue’ them.

During this fracas, some rowdy youth broke into a cash-in-transit vehicle and made way with cash.

The EACC officers were forced to fire in the air as more police officers arrived to help their colleagues.

EACC deputy CEO, Michael Mubea, confirmed that money was recovered from the traffic officers and will be presented in court as evidence.

“We are pleading with members of the public to work with us to ensure we end corruption in the police service," he said.
