NJERI narrates how an Ummoiner Matatu saved her and her husband from carjackers.

…Kange and tells them we suspect were being followed by possible hijackers. They ask where we're going , he tells them . Apparently Ummoinner use the Buru route from there and we're so very willing to follow them to Kingdom come. Until we're sure it's safe, but No Wait for it, the crew says follow us, they decide to detour and use Jogoo Road.

This matatu is full of passengers, but they decided to escort us all the way, through the roundabout via Manyanja Road, to Bee Center. (this is NOT their route) Everyone including the passengers are willing to get us home, but we don't see the car anymore and we thank them profusely. They insist if we're not okay they'll drive behind us till the Estate main gate, but the road looks clear and we hightail it out of there.

The Driver and crew of Ummoinner KCK 135 C you are our heroes, this story would have a different ending were it not for your quick and selfless actions. God bless you and all the cheering passengers who said take them home, you my fellow Kenyans remind me why I'm proud to call this country home. We can't say enough thank you. That was the Eastlands Spirit.

I'm still shaking.
