Thursday, November 3, 2016 - President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, are set to name Jubilee Party officials this week to end the ongoing power struggle in the party.
This was revealed by interim party officials who announced that the party will hold a special National Governing Council (NGC) meeting at Bomas of Kenya.
“Pursuant to Article 9 (2) of the Jubilee Party Constitution, notice is hereby given that the party will hold a Special Governing Council meeting on Friday November 4, at 10 am, Bomas Auditorium, Nairobi, to discuss party matters,” said JP’s acting interim Secretary General, Veronica Maina.
“All members of the National Governing Council are invited to attend this important meeting,” she added.
Sources have intimated that the meeting was necessitated by the fact that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and CORD were gaining popularity thanks to massive corruption in Government.
