Thursday, November 3, 2016 - Kenyans have unleashed their wrath against the Jubilee Government after it demanded an apology from the Nation Media Group for publishing the Sh 5 billion ‘Mafia House’ scandal.
On Tuesday, the Government through the Ministry of Information & Communication wrote a letter to NMG demanding an apology for linking President Uhuru Kenyatta’s family to the Mafia House scandal.
In the letter signed by CS, Joe Mucheru, the Government noted that it was "unethical and malicious" for NMG journalists to use a leaked interim audit document to authoritatively report the supposed Sh 5 billion loss at Afya House.
But without knowing the letter was doing more damage than good, Kenyans on the social media castigated Uhuru and his family for trying to muzzle NMG.
Here are some comments from angry Kenyans who mocked Jubilee by apologising on behalf of NTV.
