SONKO speaks about plans to challenge ALFRED MUTUA for Machakos Governor in 2017News 00:52
Wednesday, November 2, 2016 - Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko has broken his silence over allegations that he was planning to shift his political base to Machakos County with an intention of challenging Alfred Mutua for the Machakos Governorship in 2017.
Speaking yesterday, Sonko dismissed these claims, saying he has no intention of running away from Nairobi to Machakos County.
The flamboyant Nairobi Senator, who recently caused drama at a burial in Machakos when he claimed that he was the acting President, maintained his political base was in Nairobi and has no plans of relocating any time soon.
“Wale wanasema ati na relocate to Machaa coz (those saying that I plan to relocate to Machakos because) I took all the Sonko Rescue Team's vehicles to my Mua Farm are wrong,” Sonko clarified.
“We are still active and continue to serve people both in our small and big ways depending on the sensitivity of received cases,” he affirmed.
