See what UHURU told MURAGURI after he decided to resign over Mafia House ScandalOther Political News, Politics 01:13
Thursday, November 3, 2016 - Health Principal Secretary, Nicholas Muraguri, who is at the centre of the Sh5 billion “Mafya House” scandal, had tendered his resignation to President Uhuru Kenyatta over the weekend but the Head of State convinced him not to resign.
According to State House sources, Muraguri said that he could not hold onto his seat because of immense public pressure and he was willing to resign and pave way for investigations.
But when he handed President Uhuru Kenyatta his resignation letter, the President, whose family is linked to the Mafia scandal, told Muraguri not to resign and promised to ‘sort out’ the issues.
Uhuru’s sister, Anne Nyokabi, is the chief mastermind of the scandal where over Sh 5.2 billion that belongs to cancer and HIV patients was stolen by Nyokabi and her accomplices.
Sources said Uhuru begged Muraguri not to resign because he would have exposed the Kenyatta family since her sister is one of the main suspects in the scandal.
