RUTO hires a KISII as Chief of Staff after Jubilee was floored in by-elections - Is this PR?Editor's Choice 00:30
Wednesday, November 2, 2016 - In a bid to endear Jubilee to the Gusii community, Deputy President William Ruto, has appointed a Kisii as his Chief of Staff.
Ruto hired Ambassador Ken Nyaucho as the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Deputy President, replacing Maryanne Keitany, who stepped aside in 2015 following a series of controversial graft allegations, among them the infamous Deputy President William Ruto’s Private Jet saga.
Besides, Keitany was among those named in the list of shame presented to Parliament by President Uhuru for allegedly bribing MPs to sack former Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru.
Nyaucho’s appointment was announced through an internal memo circulated in the DP’s office.
“This is to inform you that Ambassador Ken Nyaucho Osinde has been appointed the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Deputy President,” reads the memo.
Nyaucho’s appointment took effect yesterday.
