MURKOMEN breaks silence over NYS & says WAIGURU is guilty and should rot in Lang’ataCounty Politics, News 02:15
Sunday, November 20, 2016 - Embattled Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, has broken his silence over the saga around the looting at the National Youth Service (NYS) after he was linked to it by former Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru.
Speaking at Kolawa Bridge during the launch of NYS projects graced by Public Service Cabinet Secretary, Sicily Kariuki, Murkomen denied ever receiving a single cent from the sh 1.8 billion looted from NYS as alleged by Waiguru.
He told Waiguru to carry her own cross and stop blaming others saying she is as guilty as charged and should be rotting in Lang’ata Women Prison.
“Let everyone carry his or her cross instead of shifting blame to other innocent individuals. Her testimony is shrouded in lies and I will not carry the cross of NYS because I rendered legal service," said a visibly agitated Murkomen.
Murkomen said the evidence so far adduced is sufficient to arraign Waiguru in a court of law though she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
"If she is not going to be charged to answer NYS scandal, it means corruption should be legalised too so that each Kenyan is accorded an opportunity to loot," he said.
