MAGUFULI bans Kenyan thieves as he teaches UHURU how to deal with rogue officials

Wednesday November 2, 2016 - Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli has banned rogue Kenyan contactors from Tanzania.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Nairobi Southern Bypass, Magufuli, who is the current chairman of the East African Community, and known for his zero tolerance for inefficiency, laziness and corruption, warned all road contractors in Kenya who lack integrity from setting foot in Tanzania because he will not give them tenders.

“When a contractor signs a contract, he must ensure that within two years after completion of the road works, it does not develop potholes,” said Magufuli.

“Remember, bad and shoddy road works in Kenya will also not be allowed in Tanzania. I am speaking as the EAC chairman. This road should be maintained in good shape at all cost. It will be a good idea to have good roads not just in Kenya but in this region,” he added.
