Wednesday, November 9, 2016 - Americans have elected controversial businessman, Donald Trump, as the country’s 45th president.

This means, Obama is living on borrowed time in the White House after 8 years as the leader of the free world.

More than 69.4 million Americans voted for then - Sen. Barack Obama on November 4, 2008, to become the 44th President of the United States — and the first African-American to hold the position.

Obama, then 47, garnered 365 electoral votes and nearly 53% of the popular vote with his Republican opponent, Sen. John McCain, earning 173 electoral votes and a little more than 45% of the popular vote.

He would secure re-election in 2012 beating Republican candidate, Mitt Romney (303-205 electoral votes) but his time is up.
