After chest-thumping & bragging, UHURU/ RUTO finally give in to the UN & do the unexpected

.... press, Interior Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Nkaisery, said the extension followed a request by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filipo Grandi.

He noted that the volatile security situation in Somalia and the ongoing elections had made it difficult to relocate Somali refugees back to their country.


“The Jubilee Government has accepted the request to extend the deadline for completion of repatriation of Somali refugees and eventual closure of Dadaab Refugees complex by six months,” Nkaisery said.

The Jubilee Government had earlier vowed to deport all Somali refugees by November no matter what but the unexpected just happened.
