Saturday October 15, 2016 - The Director of Public Prosecutions, Keriako Tobiko, has ordered for the immediate investigation of Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko’s remarks after declaring himself acting President of Kenya.
During the burial of former Kathiani MP, Wavinya Ndeti’s husband in Machakos on Friday, Sonko declared himself acting President of Kenya because President Uhuru Kenyatta was in Togo while Deputy President William Ruto was in France.
"Rais Uhuru is in Togo; Deputy President William Ruto is in France.”
"I am number three in command politically influence-wise and socially… I am now the acting President of the Republic of Kenya," Sonko told mourners who booed him over his remarks.
