This man is causing Mt. Kenya sleepless nights - They’re worried UHURU may lose in 2017News 14:49
Monday, October 31, 2016 - Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Mwangi Kiunjuri, has accused Meru Governor, Peter Munya, of trying to create a wedge between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto with his PNU politics.
Munya, who was recently crowned the party leader of PNU, has vowed to run for the Presidency in 2022 even though he will support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election in 2017.
Speaking yesterday, Kiunjuri urged voters in Meru to ignore Governor Munya and his PNU party which refused to dissolve and join Jubilee Party.
He said Munya should not take Jubilee leaders for a ride by claiming that he will support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid in 2017 when he has stated that he would be vying for the Presidency in 2022.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta’s 2017 re-election and his Deputy, William Ruto’s 2022 election are intertwined. How can Munya expect Ruto to support the President in 2017 then go home? How will Ruto’s people think? PNU is spoiling Uhuru’s chances in 2017,” said Kiunjuri.
