Speaker MUTURI defends UHURU from 5 billion scandal & says RAILA is just a noise makerCounty Politics, News 23:08
Tuesday November 1, 2016 - National Assembly Speaker, Justin Muturi, has defended President Uhuru Kenyatta and his family against the sh5 billion health scandal.
This is after his family was linked to the loot at the Ministry of Health in a scandal that has turned out to be one of the biggest corruption scandals by the Jubilee Government.
Instead, Muturi turned the heat of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga accusing him of applying double standards in the matters relating to corruption.
He noted that the alleged looting of sh5 billion at the Ministry of Health had not been confirmed by the Auditor General and therefore the report cannot be relied on.
The Speaker said similar corruption reports were leaked when Raila was Prime Minister but he did nothing.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Maara MP, Mbiuki Karake, who accused the former PM of hatching a well orchestrated scheme to link the entire Jubilee Government to graft in order to discredit it ahead of the 2017 General Elections.
