RAILA’s CORD urges children to reject UHURU’s laptops because they are ‘bewitched’!Politics 13:00
Saturday October 1, 2016 - Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) has urged Kenyans to reject the 1.5 million laptops being distributed by the Jubilee government, claiming they are ‘bewitched’.
Speaking on Friday, Garissa Woman Representative, Shukran Hassan, said Kenyans have a right to reject the laptops because President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto want to use the laptop project as their campaign tool.
She said Jubilee is using the laptops to blindfold residents into voting for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“We do not want the laptops launched by the Jubilee Government. They could be bewitching them to seek re-election,” Shukran said.
Jubilee has started a nationwide distribution of laptops for primary school children where over 1.5 million laptops are expected to be issued to all standard one pupils across the country by end of December.
During the 2013 presidential campaigns, Jubilee promised free laptops to all schools.
